"I - don't schools have, like, age limits or something?" Literally LOL'd at this.
I had a total WTF moment during the restaurant scene and went back to re-read. Then it clicked and was awesome. (I was wondering why Cook offered to change, but Archie didn't. Good detail there!)
"Happy anniversary," he hears himself say, instead, just as quietly, and tries not to think about the need hiding under his skin. I love this line. Cook's want is so tangible here. And it's so painful when he keeps reaching out to touch Archie, then stopping himself. Guh.
I squeaked at the last line. Squeaked! Like a dog toy! (It was kind of embarrasing!) AND IT WASN'T EVEN MY FAVORITE PART!
