Seriously, I think it's the characterizations that just destroy me. The inherent danger of Cobb's subconscious was incredibly creepy and awesome. I'd never thought of him as being addicted to the collaboration of all things, but it makes sense and works perfectly, and then the idea of the blending of who is projected and who is real was just icing on the cake. And then Arthur being just as self-destructive as Cobb in some ways was perfect, because of how it balanced out his groundedness as well. Just seriously, THOSE TWO.
And that final scene was just, YES. MF YES.
