[Femslash] [Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera] [PG-13]
Signals
Author’s Note: My first attempt as femslash. Your typical Britney/Christina fare. Be gentle.
*I was asked to use this line in this story by a friend. Who was I to refuse? *grin*
“What is wrong with hugging a person from behind?”
“Nothing. Unless there’s chemistry between you and him. Her. And in said case, you do.”
“No. Justin. You’re supposed to say that there’s nothing wrong with it, and that I’m just being paranoid.”
“There’s nothing wrong with it, and you’re just being paranoid.” Justin smirked, before patting Britney on the shoulder. “Yeah. Right.”
“Shut. Up.”
“C’mon, admit it. You look at her and it’s like the air is sizzling.”
Britney glared at her would-be boyfriend, “She. Is not. Crooked. And I do not like her.”
Justin rolled his eyes, “Who are you trying to convince? Really?”
“It’s days like these I swear I hate you.”
Justin quirked an eyebrow, “So you’re admitting I’m right, then?”
Britney growled in frustration, “*You suck monkeys’ balls.”
Justin stared at her in wide-eyed shock for a second, before doubling over, choking with laughter, and it took a few long moments before he subsided. “Now, really, Ms. Spears,” mirth twinkled in the blonde’s eyes, “What would your mama say?”
“That she’s seen you getting it on with the monkeys in the zoo,” Britney was close to pouting, even though she knew it wouldn’t get the boy to shut up. He was immune to her charms.
“Bet it turned her on.”
Typical Justin, she thought. “Yeah. She’s asking how much.”
“For a whole night? Only a couple grand.”
“Cheap.”
Justin shrugged, “Hey, I’m a man. I have needs, too.” He slid into the seat next to Britney, nudging her gently, “Wonder what kinda needs Christina has.”
“Shut. UP.” Britney warned, unbidden images flashing in her mind. Flashes of fingers trailing down her skin, scorching, marking their territory; flashes of lips and tongue over fevered flesh, hot in their craving for contact, erotic in their cooling wet trail; flashes of eyes wandering up and down her body, stripped her of all coherent thought, glazed over with lust… Suddenly, everything had become unbearably hot.
“I’d shut up if the thought didn’t get you all excited,” Justin correctly predicted the animal look in his childhood friend’s eyes, and got a glare in return. “I really don’t understand why you’re not approaching her. I mean, it’s not like she’s not interested.”
“Justin, she’s not, okay?” Britney sighed, rubbing her temples with her thumb and forefinger. “And you’re supposed to be my boyfriend. Act it.”
“I would if you were remotely interested in me!” Justin shot back, returning her look of annoyance.
“I probably should be, shouldn’t I?”
“Actually, considering who I am…”
“Watch the ego, Timberflake.”
“First you say I’m irresistible, and then you say I’m egoistic.” Justin shook his head. “Women.”
“Shut up. Get out and let me think.”
“Oh, sure, be grateful. I only tried to show you the right woman in your life.” Muttering, Justin slinked out of the room, shutting the door behind him.
Less than a minute of peaceful silence later, Britney heard the door open again. “J, I thought I told you to.” Her voice faltered.
Christina.
“You know,” Britney could have sworn the unusual huskiness of Christina’s voice was sending chills throughout her body, “Hugging a person from behind can be pretty suggestive.”
Britney wanted to laugh, but her voice seemed to be caught in her throat, and Christina’s eyes never wavered. “Would you mind if I *was* trying to be suggestive?”
It was a simple query, honestly asked, although it was probably the most life-altering questions anyone could think up. “What would you be suggesting? Actually?” Christina’s expression was unreadable.
“What do you think?”
And then Christina’s lips were on hers, wet and full and almost-too-much-to-handle. Britney’s lips were still parted, breathing ragged and eyes closed, as Christina pulled away. But she didn’t need her eyes open to know Christina was smiling when she said, “I think we waited too long.”
