davidxdavid started a post a day for the month of February, and for one of my days I put up an entry offering ficlets based on fairytales. It's taken a while to get round to it, and when I did get round to writing this first one, it... kind of ran away with me and wouldn't fit into less than 4 comments, so. Um.
