The unbelievable [livejournal.com profile] starafar has also chipped in with a digital scrapbook accompaniment, jfc. You guys, I cannot even believe my life right now. I'm dedicating this story to my incredible, incredible wife, [livejournal.com profile] hopefulgenius, who was a bigger inspiration for my finishing this than she will ever know. I wrote the entire last section of the story with her in mind, and I -- without a doubt, it is the story I'm proudest of ever writing. Meg, darling, god I adore you. I hope when you read this you know that that is how you make me feel every day, and then some.

Acknowledgements: That said, this was a strangely difficult big bang to write. I began it initially for [livejournal.com profile] dvbb, but when that challenge went out the window, I decided that the rest of the stories needed to be written anyway. I didn't manage to post this by the original deadline, unfortunately, but the fact that I posted it at all is thanks mainly to all the awesome people who've been encouraging me and holding my hand to get me through this.

First up, [livejournal.com profile] starafar deserves the hugest hugs and candy bars in the world for offering major hand-holding, being the best sounding board in the world (half the ideas in this thing I totally stole off you), for helping me out in every way possible (twitter forever!) and constantly telling me that this story did not suck like a hoover (which, total lie, BUT IT IS THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS). You've seen me at my worst and the fact that you didn't go running for the hills means you get extra, extra, extra kudos! <3333333333

Crazy amazing thanks must also go out to [livejournal.com profile] greensounds, x a billion, because honest-to-god, she probably fixed half the story, and saved the rest of it, and her constant cheerleading was the most amazing boost in the world. I am spoilt for life, now that I have had her last minute betas for pretty much every piece of fanfiction I've put up that needed a beta. A lot of the revamping that went into the story is completely thanks to you, and I am much, much more satisfied with the final product than the initial one.

Much love also goes out to [livejournal.com profile] bubbleforest, who helped me out in a major way by looking over the sections I was having problems with, and pointing out things that would probably not have made any lick of sense otherwise, and then heaping all this crazy praise on it that IT TOTALLY DID NOT DESERVE. And the best part is that SHE IS NOT EVEN IN THE FANDOM. You are the bestest, bb, idk what I did to deserve you. ♥

I must also send a billion, trillion, gazillion thank yous out to [livejournal.com profile] pixiebeanz, [livejournal.com profile] infiniteskies, [livejournal.com profile] rajkumari905, [livejournal.com profile] jehane18, [livejournal.com profile] mausi, [livejournal.com profile] irishdf and [livejournal.com profile] slashophile for their undying patience and faith and encouragement. I honestly don't know where I would be without everyone of you in my life. Also, to everyone who read this and left comments, thank you. You don't know how much this story means. If I have neglected to mention your name here, it is only because I am lame and stupid, but know that I am so very, very grateful for everything.

i finally finished reading all 7 stories :D

at first i was confused when i read that cook is a tattooist in the 2nd story whereas he is a rock star in the 1st story so i had to re-read the master post summary to get that this is kinda the "5 things" writing but in longer than drabble format; which is totally encourage by the way :p

i gotta say, your writing blow me away. every sentence is executed aptly, which in turn exude and deliver the intended emotion in max. i never want the story to end. i want to stay and just be with your character!

that's why i'll go find other stories you ever written (preferably cookleta) and immerse myself in it. right after i post this :p

also, i'm charm by the chapter title! it's precious :)

among the 5 (6?) stories, my favorite are snow white fell in love with dopey and prince charming found that sleeping beauty was a different person awake. both beginning of the stories had me confuse but it's AMAZING when i finally get it! which of course, prompt me to re-read again to savor the story in a different light :D i ♥ that feeling.

my favorite part in "snow white":
and he'd just wanted to get home, to say, it's okay. Even if you forget, I won't. I see you. GUH. the feeling in this is so palpable and gives me shivers.

and in "prince charming", i'm totally sold by your portrayal of asshole!cook. the way you presented the state of his mind is AMAZING! OKAY! it's so so easy to hate him but at the same time it's the most captivating traits of him. i couldn't look away! his misery is fascinating and self-consuming! he burn so prettily. ahem. okay so, maybe i'm a little twisted BUT ... *sheepish smile*
still, it's a good shift at the end. "Hey," he says, swallows hard. "I - it's really good to hear your voice." a breath of new beginning. i hope he got his happy ending :D

also, i really like the recurring theme in all the stories (dublin, living together, pad thai, etc). the parallel of each universe. that somehow, no matter where or who they are, both cook and archie are inevitably gravitating to each other. and also, somehow retain their basis personality and quirks that make them fit. and you executed this brilliantly. with just enough hint for the readers to conclude themselves. i love writers that threat their readers as intellectually capable! :D

p/s: i found this via delicious bookmark. and it'll go to mine too!

p/p/s: sorry for the long ramble o.O

oh my gosh, wow, hi, watch me be totally blown away by the loveliness of this comment! you weren't the only one to get confused by the 5 difference scenarios, jsyk, so bahaha, clearly the summary should be bolded and in font 40, or something. ;D

thank you so much for reading! i'm really glad you enjoyed this (and the titles, score!) and asshole!cook was probably one of my favourite parts of the story to write, albeit the most painful, so i totally get where you're coming from and i'm thrilled you had fun with it! hee!

p.s. and thank you for the delicious rec! ;D

p.p.s also never feel the need to apologize for leaving pieces of feedback! especially long, rambly ones!
